Predictions for 2006 - Highlights
By Bob Mulligan
The most important aspect of the year is: Saturn opposite Neptune. This happens 8/31/06 at 17 Leo/Aquarius. This shows the puncturing of the real estate bubble. Saturn (reality principle) is the needle that will puncture the Neptune (unrealistic expectations) bubble. How bad this will be is hard to say, but the repercussions will reverberate in the rest of the economy; there will be a squeeze in the whole financial arena in the fall. Obviously, we are feeling some of this already. This will also probably be the top of the commodities market in gold and oil. Historically, this aspect is always a top or bottom with a reverse in direction. This aspect occurs twice more, February 28, 2007 and finally in June, 2007. So for almost a year we will be living with this more serious conflict between our wishes and our actual circumstances.
For the USA, this is a bad year for foreign policy. The foreign press will not treat the USA very nicely. There will be a major political scandal with long range fall out.
Following Saturn, the principle of definition.
Saturn has left Cancer July 16th, 2005 and will be in Leo until September 2nd, 2007. Consequently Saturn will be in Leo all of 2006. Leo is the sign of display and Saturn is a limiting and refining influence. This can be a difficult year for those making a living through flamboyant self-expression. Because Saturn is moving through a fixed sign, the significance of this effect will manifest slowly, but you will notice difficulties in the lives of people with Sun in Leo or Leo rising. Since our president has Leo rising, it will be interesting to see how he fairs this year with another political scandal in the making.
Following Jupiter, the planet of expansion.
Jupiter is in Scorpio from October 25, 2005 until November 23, 2006. So for most of the year we have our enthusiasm running in extremes. People's passions are stronger than their sense of reason. What this means is that compromises tend to be more difficult to reach and peoples sense of enjoyment is outpaced by their need to find the underlying cause of things. Therefore, it is better to avoid getting into overt disagreements and fights with people as hard feelings do not blow over very easily.
Because of the position of the other outer planets, we have seen a tremendous pushing of one's beliefs on others with great enthusiasm for many years. In 2006, this tendency will go to extremes; faith is stronger than reason.
Uranus in Pisces March 3rd 2003 - May 27th, 2010 - This period shows our technology taking several quantum leaps as our understanding and abilities express themselves in a higher arena. This is a revolution in reason. Several forms of communism and communalism with become the forefront of human thought as we search for a new model of economic democracy.
Neptune in Aquarius January 28, 1998 - April 4th 2011 - We look for a humanitarian principle for our cultural trust. Perhaps Democracy will encompass more of the globe. This is a time of looking for new social forms and for the exploration of the links between science and spiritual life.
Pluto in Sagittarius - January 17th 1995 - January 25th 2008 - Religious fanaticism. A search for extreme ideals. This is the time of exploring the foundations of our ethics and basic assumptions. The worst side of this is the attempt to have everyone else live up to our personal ideals of correctness. We suffer as a culture during this time when we attempt to force our beliefs on others.
Eclipses
Eclipses are New and Full Moons on steroids. Like New and Full Moons, eclipses are powerful times for meditation. Solar Eclipses are New Moons only 1000 times stronger and much longer lasting. Their influence can start even up to three months before the Eclipse happens. The events have long term significance. Like New Moons, they are a powerful time for setting your intentions. I like to say my prayers to God during the solar eclipse.
Lunar Eclipses are like Full Moons only much more powerful. Their effect can start early and will last for many months, maybe even up to six months. Lunar eclipses are about letting go of the past. This is the best time for closing a deal and bringing whatever you have been working on to a climax, and then letting go of the past.
March 14, Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. This is a time to transform circumstances surrounding health and work. We will see sabotage or turbulence in the world because it is square Pluto. Workers and work rules and procedures will be in the news. Labor unions will be having their own internal difficulties which will spill over into negotiations. This may be a time where we have to work harder to manifest our ideals in practical terms. However, it will be worth the effort.
March 29th, Solar Eclipse in Aries - Going faster than the river is flowing can cause great difficulties. We create our own difficulties. Africa and China are especially emphasized during this eclipse. A change in government and natural disasters are often associated with eclipses. This one finds softness by Mars trine the Venus Neptune conjunction, but also opposite Pluto.
September 7th, Lunar Eclipse in Pisces - The Crowd goes wild. - The drive for reform is so strong it will be heard. There is impatience in the air. Puncturing a personal myth during this eclipse may lead to a deep re-evaluation. Do not do more than your share.
September 22nd, Solar Eclipse in Virgo - The very last step. Sometimes we have to get rid of the old way of doing things to make way for something new. In business, we are able to come up with several improvements of technical functions, however, these do not address the plight of the common worker. We are letting go of several ways of viewing problems from the past.
This Solar Eclipse in September is conjunct the USA Midheaven on September 22nd at 29 Virgo. This shows the importance of the coming few years to the nation as a whole. We will have a change in government. |

The Final Result are In! Dieting with the Stars
If you have been following our month long progress regarding the ladies who are on the Astro Diet, you know they have been doing well. They are all following the concepts in my latest book under the same title. I checked their progress on a daily basis as they used astrology to help them drop weight. Our Astro Dieters have finished their month long program on Jan 30th and I am happy to report the results. Not everyone has contacted me back as of this writing but I will publish other results in the next newsletters
Here's a note from our big loser...she lost 15 pounds this month and 32 pounds since she started the Astro Diet! And Carol is in her weight gain year to boot. She is amazing and proves that by working with astrology and understanding your sign, you can beat the diet war. I received a wonderful letter from her today!
Great News Maria,
I made it! I lost 15 pounds this month. Even with you having us do the final weigh in on a weight gain day. I feel fantastic. I took body measurements at the beginning of the month and again yesterday. I have lost 2" in my chest, 7" in my waist, 1" in each thigh, 3/4" in upper arms and even 1/4" in my wrist. Almost time to get another watch.
In the past 11 months I have lost 55 pounds. 32 of them with your help. You keep me motivated I have 80 more pounds to lose and I have the determination to succeed. I started working out at a fitness center past this weekend. I plan to become a regular there. I don't give up once I have a determined goal. I am close to my half way mark. A Supervisor at work is amazed at how the weight is just "falling off". Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,
Love,
Carol, Scorpio
JOANN - Pisces - Lost 13 pounds

Here's your article by a fellow LLewelyn author:
You and Your Star Child
Date: 2006-01-23 By: Isabelle Ghaneh
One of the hardest tasks a parent has is in developing and guiding their children's natural abilities. We all want to help our children explore their best potential, but we don't want to overwhelm them and push them in directions they may not be ready for, or even enjoy.
Going with your child's basic personality traits and temperament is a step in the right direction. Look at your child's astro-star sign, and see what it can tell you about your bundle of joy.
Aries: This little one came out with a bang, one way or another. Aries children may have the occasional temper tantrum, and when a beloved toy is taken from them, they will not suffer in silence. This is a very active child, and getting them involved in sports activities is a big help in directing their boundless energy and enthusiasm. Finishing what they start could be a challenge for them, so helping them see the benefit in completing tasks, is important. They are very affectionate children, and expect impulsive hugs and kisses, when you least expect it, but need it most, since they have very big hearts.
Taurus: Taurus children are very mellow, and love nature. Taking them for walks and stopping to look at the leaves along the way, is their idea of contentment. Later on as they grow up a bit, they are perfect candidates for nature centers, and will love learning all they can about the world around them, as expressed in their environment. These children like music and art, and activities in that direction will be enjoyed. Talking to them quietly and one on one about why you want certain behaviors, will be easily understood, and appreciated, since a kind word goes a long way with them, and their loving dispositions.
Gemini: You have been blessed with the little Einstein of the zodiac. Very curious, inquisitive, intelligent and alert, expect countless questions about why the world is as it is, and what makes it and everyone around them tick. Science and math are subjects they may be drawn to, and reading is something that should be introduced to them at as early an age as possible. Play dates with other children will be important, since they start being socially aware early on. Telling them why they can't do something in detail, helps them understand your reasoning, and knowing you are a friend to them works wonders for their psyches.
Cancer: These children are very home loving. Just staying at home and being with mom and dad and helping out makes these children feel safe and nurtured. They love learning to cook, and are very domestically inclined, even from an early age. They also excel in arts and crafts. Taking care of younger brothers and sisters, or becoming a babysitter to a neighbor's child, is something these children enjoy, both boys and girls, as they get older. At times, they can be moody, and alternate tears with smiles. The more reassurance you give them that they are loved and needed, the happier they will be.
Leo: Being in the spotlight is something a Leo child just naturally gravitates to, and encouraging that in the right direction will be the best thing you can do for them. Letting them participate in a children's theater production, even from an early age, will bring them a lot of joy. Having them be in charge of even small things, like setting the table, and praising them when they do well, keeps these sunny children smiling. They have a lot of love to give, and are very expressive in their emotions, so expect to receive colored cards on special occasions, with big I love you's and hearts written all over them.
Virgo: Having their own garden, even if it's just a few herbs in a pot on a kitchen windowsill, will give these children hours of pleasure as they learn the ins and outs of plant maintenance. They enjoy being out of doors, and marshalling their nervous energy into an exercise program is something they will enjoy both mentally and physically. These children are very intelligent and enjoy reading about everything under the sun, since no subject is too difficult for them to try to master. Your approval means the world to them, and will go a long way in developing their self esteem, and self-confidence.
Libra: You may think you were graced with little miss or mister congeniality, and in a lot of ways that's true. Libra children like to get along with everyone, and they are the team players their teachers and coaches have always wanted. Negotiating squabbles with their playmates and siblings comes naturally to them, and living in harmonious surroundings gives them the atmosphere they need. Your little Libra will benefit from taking music and art lessons and handing them paper and colored pencils will keep them busy for hours. Asking them to be fair will be easy, and reasoning with them will also be a breeze.
Scorpio: Halloween will be a big day for your little Scorpios, so letting them dress up and act out the part of whatever costume they choose will be a time of excitement and enjoyment. They are very passionate about everything, even from an early age, and will want to know the reasons behind anything you instruct them to do, or not to do. Intense emotion is a factor in their lives and always will be and showing them the right way to apply that will be one of the best things you can do for them. They love mystery and detective stories, and books on that topic will be gobbled up. Their loyalty to you and their family is boundless.
Sagittarius: Keeping track of your wandering centaur won't be easy, since they do love to travel beyond their own backyards. Exploring their environments comes naturally to them and taking them on even small trips outside their locale will fascinate them. These children love looking at maps, and reading about Marco Polo and his exploits will be a favorite subject for them. They are very outspoken and will be quick to tell you if they like or don't like something, and with their innate optimism they will be able to bounce back from any setbacks they encounter. Being your buddy is important to them, and always will be.
Capricorn: Still waters run deep is a cliché but its an appropriate one for your little Capricorn. Quiet on the outside, these children appear older than their years. Dependable and conscientious, they need stability and routine to flourish, but don't ignore their lively side which comes out in the safety of their home. They have a marvelous sense of humor, even if it's a bit on the dry side. Building blocks, and later model airplanes and boats will keep them fascinated for hours, and the detail they put into their projects will amaze their teachers. The more affection you show them, the more they will return, and that will help them a lot.
Aquarius: Outer space is your child's natural habitat and he or she has the imagination to be there. Your little Aquarius has a very original mind and their thoughts can fly out to the stratosphere at a moment's notice. Anything to do with science fiction will be gobbled up by this child, and letting them try to make their own inventions, with proper supervision, will set them on a path they are naturally geared for. They actually enjoy going to school, along with making friends, and they see the benefit of having friends from all walks of life. They need you more than they let on, so always remember that, and they will too.
Pisces: Imaginative dreamers, your little Pisces will have empathy for you and their siblings from an early age. These are the children who know when you've had a bad day, and want to hold your hand if you are not at your best. They love painting, writing, drawing, and especially dancing, and being allowed to express their emotions creatively will help them to channel those feelings in a positive venue. They are very sensitive so giving them extra time when they themselves feel a little down, will help them bounce back to their normal selves. They need time to daydream, so letting that happen, makes them relaxed and rested.

Problems with getting my newsletters?
We're having more and more problems with email providers blocking us, as we are suspected of sending spam around with this email letter. If you miss out on any future issues (currently AOL, .cs, worldnett.att.net members and even some MSN addresses are a huge trouble here) ask your email provider to UNBLOCK this newsletter address. AOL members need to phone the AOL Postmaster Hotline at 1-703-265-4670 or 1-888-212-5537 and ask them to get us on the whitelist. (And then they are first going to monitor our email behavior. :-) )
Each week we are sending the non deliverables on to Rich who takes great pains in getting the email newsletter to you but, boy, it is almost becoming unmanageable with the current anti-spam politics. We're suffering both ways now. From the spam and from the blockades. Please note that if you miss out on any future issue, this may be because YOUR provider has blocked our email address. What can you do? Ask your provider to unblock this newsletter email address immediately...for this is not an unsolicited bulk mail but a much wanted one. :-)
