INITIATION: AT THE HEART LEVEL
If you have felt like the world has collapsed in on you, or you have made amazing awareness' (what I call 'aha's!') in the past two weeks, this is not surprising. We are in the 'shadow' period of Pluto going retrograde on March 29, 2006 at 26 Sagittarius 45 minutes. The shadow period occurs two weeks prior to such a shift of a powerful planet. From March 15, 2006, onward to March 28, 2006, we are all going to have Pluto working with us--big time. Your life is in the process of being upended, or you got a huge surprise and gift of incredible and unexpected proportions, then transiting Pluto is definitely in your life and stirring the pot. But even more important, Pluto is conjunct the Galactic Center (GC) where the 'heart' of our spiral armed galaxy is at. This occurs once every 247 years as Pluto orbits around our sun and touches the heart of our galaxy. We are in the perfect spot at the perfect moment to not only receive communion with the heart of our galaxy home, but also to heal our own wounded hearts with the release of energy that will occur with this planet going retrograde.
Add to that, this is occurring on a New Moon Eclipse on March 29, 2006, too! Talk about POWER! WOW! DOUBLE WOW! This is BIG, folks. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take advantage of the magical sprinkle of fairy dust from the heart of our galaxy and to absorb it directly into our own heart. This is a gift of Cosmic proportion,there is no doubt. And only good, positive things can come from this momentous astronomical alignment and aspects if you want to take part in it. And, as always, it is a free will choice. But I don't know who would walk away from a healing gift like this.
We have an amazing gift coming our way--one that is offered only once every 247 years. It is an initiation to the heart level as a human being. That means that you have the choice and capability of moving from your lower chakras (eye for an eye, wars, selfishness, narcissism, disempowerment of others, FEAR based life, prejudice, hatred, intolerance, greed, victimization, and all the rest of human unhealthy characteristics and emotions/attitudes...) to the heart level where these traits dissolve in the gold-white light of LOVE from the Cosmos that is there for our taking. What a shift!! We are six years into a 12 year Mayan chaos called "the end of Time." In Revelations in the Bible, they also refer to it as "the end of time," too. No matter what religion or belief system you hold, since 2001 we have entered into the gauntlet of what I call the "Dark Night of Our Collective Soul" here on Earth.
Now, we can either botch this trip and sink to our lower chakras where we are right now, or we can expend a tremendous effort to pull ourselves up, one human at a time, by our collective bootstraps and move into our HEART. If we do this, then compassion/love will disintegrate FEAR which is what is holding this world captive right now. Pluto going retrograde in the heart of our Galactic Center is going to show us how to disentangle ourselves from the FEAR based reality and move into our heart where hope, faith, trust, peace, goodwill, tolerance, patience and so many of our positive human attributes live. And they will flourish instead of have FEAR as our constant companion. Pluto is the white knight on the black horse galloping toward us to aid and support us to make this INITIATORY leap into our heart chakra and turn darkness into light. To turn war into peace. To turn hatred into love. To turn intolerance into tolerance. To turn prejudice into acceptance of all, regardless of skin color, gender, or nationality or belief system. This is the opportunity coming our way. MARCH 2006 is one of the most exciting months of the year! I hope you take full advantage of this treasure chest of gifts coming our way shortly.
THE 29TH--NUMEROLOGICALLY SPEAKING
According to Karen David, Numerologist, (March 29th is when we have the New Moon Eclipse and Pluto going retrograde) a Moon (emotions) and Uranus (sudden) quality: she has found that the 29th degree in astrology works the same way. And now, we have Pluto going retrograde in tandem with a mighty eclipse on a day that is the 29th of March.
The 29 is nothing to play around with. IF you have been doing your dumping of emotional garbage, working on your emotional wounds and doing 'the work,' then the 29 is not going to bite you in the butt as it will others who have played emotional ostrich with head in sand, routine. Just be aware that the 29 is the Super Bowl of emotional storms. It can be likened on the level of Hurricane Katrina destroying New Orleans. Drama kings and queens are going to get 'outed' with this astronomical combo at the end of the month. But, as I said before: if you've been responsible for your emotional behavior, been working to change it from unhealthy to healthy, you don't have anything to fear or worry about. Only those who have suppressed/repressed or ignored their wounds and CHOOSE to splice in unhealthy emotions, instead, will bear the full brunt of this day and it won't be comfortable for them at all.
WHO IS AFFECTED BY PLUTO GOING RETROGRADE?

SAGITTARIUS PEOPLE AFFECTED BY THIS
Anyone born between December 15th through the 21st of ANY year will be affected (you all have Sun in Sagittarius). Those most directly affected are those born on December 18th when their Sun is at 26 degrees Sagittarius, which is where Pluto is at now, and will turn retrograde on it. Any SAGITTARIUS, however, is going to be affected by this. It's just a question of what intensity it will be, is all. You lucky ducks, you! You're sitting in the cat bird seat! You, of all people, have the most availability of this energy to do the greatest healing of yourselves than anyone else! This is such an exciting time for you!
GEMINI PEOPLE AFFECTED BY THIS
By opposite sign, Gemini, those born between June 14th through 20th, will be affected. Those Gemini's most affected will be those born on June 17th, when the Sun was at 26 degree Gemini, directly opposite of where transiting Pluto is turning retrograde. Any GEMINI, however, is going to be affected by this. It's just a question of what intensity it will be, is all. Oh, you have worked so hard, Gemini, for the past decade on cleaning up your own internal acts, trying to be aware of your wounds and working to heal them. Well, with the opposition, you get a chance of a lifetime! You are going to receive the appropriate gift for all this inner work on yourselves. The gift will be exactly duplicate of the work you've put in--and you will receive it back as a reward for not ignoring or turning away from your own inner construction work with yourself. Lucky you! But it is a hard work gift earned. Well earned, I must say!
DO YOU HAVE A PLANET AT 26 DEGREES? LUCKY YOU!!!!
If you have ANY planet, or your ascendant or Midheaven at 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 or 29 degrees, you'll be positively affected. With bulls eye center on 26 degrees, of course. Those who have signs in Aries, Leo, Libra or Aquarius will either have a sextile or trine to transiting Pluto turning retrograde and healthy things will most likely be occurring to you; or at least, shall we say, opportunities will open up to you. If you have any 26 degrees in the following signs: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Gemini or Pisces you may be receiving either a square, inconjunct or opposition which means there may be friction that will create a door opening and opportunity to you--and not without, most likely, a little discomfort involved in the circumstance.
One thing for sure, if you have ANY planet(s) at any of these degrees--you ARE directly affected by this coming heart initiation. The type of initiation will be defined by the planet involved and the house it is posited within, as well as the aspects to that planet.

The fact that you have transiting Pluto stirring up your personal Pot of Life, is enough to write an article on. I don't want to dwell on soft vs. hard aspects, or good vs. bad, or positive vs. negative, because I've seen, time and again, people who have the kitchen sink thrown at them come out fighting and make mud pies out the mud thrown at them. And I've also seen people who are given carte blanche on something cringe back for whatever reason and NOT take the opportunity! My slant and perspective, then, is how to work with the Pluto energy so that you can land on your feet and take advantage of the opportunity coming your way.
Because there is no doubt, opportunity is knocking and will NOT be ignored.

Further, we will have just experienced the Spring Equinox on March 20th, but Mercury going direct on March 25th, in preparation for this magical, healing event that will be catalyzed by Pluto going retrograde. This is going to be a release of such healing, wonderful heart level energy that I hope everyone in the world will sit down, quietly, for 20 minutes on that day, go into a meditative state, ground themselves, to receive this Cosmic blessing and healing. It is also a Cosmic INITIATION of the highest order; the most profound of all if you want to take advantage of it and I hope you do.
And of course, by Pluto going retrograde, he is catalyzing this by triggering it with his transforming nature to all of us. And since this is occurring on a retrograde it means we have TIME not only to receive this gift, but absorb, digest and make it our own during this five month time frame. Lucky us! Those of us who want to receive this magical gift will have five months to seat it within ourselves, adjust our feelings/emotions to this heart opening and get it strongly situated within ourselves for the rest of our lives. WOW!

We all know that Pluto just doesn't take "no" for an answer. Never did and never will. If you've been slowly, since it has been moving forward through the sign of Sagittarius (and Gemini's are equally affected here....so if you see me write "Sag" later on, just mentally add: Gemini to it, too), making changes in your little chrysalis called "you" or "home", then this retrograde isn't going to kick you all over the Cosmos.
However, if you're one of these people (Sagittarius or Gemini) whose been resisting mightily, digging in your heels, and have not changed due to FEAR over some "thing", then you are in for a big life change--abruptly and transformatively speaking.
One thing I can say about Pluto that is a truism: IF you try to make the necessary changes that Life is asking of you on a personal level for your own health (spirit, mental, emotional), it will never harm you. Instead, Pluto is like a big, nurturing mama hen in the Sky cosseting you, supporting you in your baby steps towards transformation, and only good things occur as a result.
However, I can say, from experience, that if we allow our FEAR to direct our steps, imprison us, and tell us where to go, instead of listening to that deep, inner voice and well within us (that is Pluto at its finest--our subconscious voice, our Pandora's Box where all our hopes, dreams, aspirations, wishes and vision of a future are like little seeds waiting to be planted and grow....) then Pluto will inexorably push you right over that cliff and you're going to go into a free fall until you land right side up on your feet where you NEED to be vs. where you THOUGHT you should be!
Pluto's whole demeanor is about CHANGE. Now, you can opt to have change out of transformation gently, step-by-step, or through CHAOS. It's your choice. Pluto doesn't mind doing it one way or the other, frankly. I can tell you that to save yourself a lot of pain, do it the butterfly way--keep cracking that hard, armored chrysalis that surrounds you (it surrounds all of us, more or less) so that you can begin to unfurl your butterfly wings and eventually, fly free to be yourself. After all, Pluto's whole intent is to get you in touch with your individualize SELF. And so many of us fear ourselves and what we don't know or realize/recognize about ourselves--so we entrench, we fight back, we refuse to budge.
Good news, bad news....because Pluto doesn't take "no" for an answer. Those affected on this retrograde are being given a second chance to "come clean" and make the changes that Pluto is asking of you. This retrograde period lasts from March 29th through September 4, 2006 (where it turns direct at 24 Sagittarius). This is a not-so-subtle warning to those of you affected, to make the changes NOW, because when Pluto turns direct and furrows over the same degrees a few months later, all hell will break loose in your life, if you haven't.
Just because the pressure is off and/or easing, don't ever mistake that everything is going to calm down, dissipate and go away. You couldn't make a worse mistake with Pluto and Plutonian energy! It's giving you time to feel and think and make the CHANGES. The changes will come between March and September, 2006.
For example, let's say that the last couple of months, your job sucks. You've been given more responsibility, no pay raise, and you're expected to work longer hours--not to mention, weekends! This leaves a bad taste in your mouth. You want a life. You have a family. You want to pursue your hobbies. Pluto puts the restlessness, the dislike, the ill-at-ease feelings every time you go to work--and it's been building until you're ready to walk off the job. And then, it goes retrograde in March. Things seem to ease and you think that maybe it will turn around--it won't, so don't fool yourself.
What Pluto is doing is giving you a breather from this "hand of God/Goddess" or this Bulldozer, to think about a PLAN OF ACTION that you're going to put into working order once it goes direct! So, you see, Pluto is very simple and straight forward about its energy. PLAN! You are going to have so much HELP from the Galactic Center and that Aries New Moon Eclipse that this will be easy to do!
That means, you must move FORWARD, not entrench, not stay the SAME. It means making choices and having the guts to put them into action. And guts is something most of us, viscerally, don't usually have a lot of. We usually think: I can't do that....I can't quit this job.... We get "guts" by being thrown from the frying pan into the fire by Pluto if we refuse to plan and initiate. So, the choice is ours. Do we fly out of our situation/nest on our own, or do you wait until Pluto comes, like a juggernaut, rolling down at you so that you have to leap out--without a PLAN.
There are some of you who will graciously make changes on March 29th--you're ready, so fly! Pluto usually will go direct and retrograde 3 to 5 times over one position or degree. Those who are "stuck" and afraid to move or make a plan, will have it at least three to five times. But I can tell you the end of all of this. If you refuse to change/move/transform, by the LAST PASS of transiting Pluto over that position in your chart, Pluto will do it for you. And it won't be pretty. In fact, it will be visceral. And you will be thrown into survival mode of the harshest, most painful kind.
Why chance it? Why not move/transform/grow now, incrementally, with each pass of Pluto, rather than be dragged kicking and screaming to the changes that are really for your own benefit and health of well being? Why do we resist so much that which is really good for us, but we can't see it because we're so filled with fear? Even the Delphi Oracle would shake her head on us. Thanks to Pluto, it will not allow this kind of situation to go on forever.
