The Aries Dad is strong and courageous. He's a natural leader and someone who enjoys “being in charge.” He wants the best for his children and often pushes them very hard. He's a strong competitor too. He likes to win! You'll find the Aries Dad a lot of fun too. There's never a dull moment when he's around. His adventurous spirit can sometimes get him in a little trouble now and then, but he's willing to take the chance. He sets high standards for himself and often enjoys chasing after his dreams sometimes more than basking in the glow of the his success.That's not to say he won't enjoy the applause and admiration!

Taurus - He's strong and stubborn but has a heart of gold. This dad has a lot of patience but when he gets pushed too far, watch out! His temper is slow burn and if your daddy is a Bull, then you probably know how far you can push him before the volcano erupts! He's logical, kind and down to earth. Leo - Here's a man with a heart of gold, generous to a fault. he'll stop at nothing to see that his family and children are taken care of and that all of their needs are met. He will work long, hard hours to give his family the very best. He is a strong ruler though and commands respect. He loves to be lavished with attention and admiration. Go ahead and fuss over him. He'll love you even more! (If that's possible). The Leo dad's biggest vice is that he is a workaholic and not around much and when he is, he likes to keep busy. He's a proud dad and boasts about your accomplishments. He'll stick by you through thick and thin. A Leo dad is loyal and the success he strives for in life is usually to make his family proud.

Virgo - This dad is smart and quite a worry wart too. He loves to help people and is probably consider the handyman of the neighbor. You can always count on him. He's very dependable. Sagittarius - He's like a big kid! The Sagittarius dad loves to have fun. He's rugged, handsome and full of fire. Many Sag dads love sports and are either big spectators or athletes. They often are the life of the party and seem to have tons of friends. They are also very good debaters. Notice I didn't use the word, “argue”? They love a good debate and usually win. They are honest men who in turn teach their children to be responsible and trustworthy. Sag dads are a little lax however in the discipline department. Never mind if Mom says you had to be in bed by 10p.m. as a youngster. Dad wouldn't mind if he let you stay up and watch TV with him until midnight! Most Sagittarius dads love to travel. Their car or truck is also their “baby”. Heaven help us, if their wheels were taken away! The Sag dad's restless spirit opens him up to new adventures and many times, he wishes to pass along the thrill of living to his children.

Capricorn - Strong, devoted, hard working and old fashioned are all words that describe some of the Capricorn father's characteristics. This dad can be strict and very opinionated. He expects respect and indeed earns it through his devotion to his family. He will not lie to you. You may not like what he has to say. You may not always agree with his opinion but he will tell it like it is. There is no gray area with him. Everything is black or white. For example, Capricorn men want the very best for their kids and sometime that means they work extra hours to buy their kids designer clothes or take the family on exotic vacations. Then, there are also the Capricorn fathers who can be very conservative and sometimes, dare I said it? Down right cheap! They believe in instilling strong work ethics in their kids and teach them to work hard for of the things they want. But both types of Cappy dads are strong minded and who will go to the end of the earth to see that their children get a good education that will provide the opportunity for a comfortable future.

Aquarius - There are two types of Aquarius dads; the extrovert and introvert. But one thing's for certain... both are real men... tough guys with a soft spot for their kids. Aquarius dads seldom show their soft side but when they do it's usually after they help someone get through a crisis. They can tackle almost anything that comes their way. These guys are the strong, silent types. They are the knights in shining armor. These dad love to feel as if they belong to something. So, so, many join groups and organizations. You will also find a great deal of them volunteering for worthy causes as they like to feel as they are making a difference in the world. Many Aquarius dads are computer geeks too, handy at fixing gadgets and gizmos. These guys appear tough and stoic but underneath that “macho” attitude lies a big old teddy bear!

Pisces - The Pisces dad can be a real pushover. He usually gives in to his children's whims. He can't help it but he loves them so darn much and no matter how much he spoils them, he never feels it's quite enough. This is one of the most sympathetic signs in the zodiac. Pisces is a people pleaser and at times a big whiner too! But oh so lovable. He's quite intuitive too. Pisces dads will teach you to dream big, to remember to make time to “play” and have fun. They worry a lot about their children. They want you to stay “little” forever so they can protect you from the harsh realties of the outside world. But they will also encourage you to dream big and help you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Uranus is Going Retrograde June 19, 2006

Chaos, Surprises and Changes Reigns for Pisces and Virgos! Are you ready to rock 'n roll?

This retrograde of Uranus, our planet of surprises and chaos will probably bring volcanic and earthquake activity from June 5-19th to a head. With transiting Pluto opposite Hades ongoing, and adding Uranus have a temper tantrum in the middle of it, you can expect a lot of dissolving (dust to dust) going on. It can affect us physically, psychically, mentally or emotionally. This is not bad news, necessarily--Uranus makes us 'prune' ourselves when we really don't want too sometimes, so it can be painful. However, for people who are read to release old tapes and unhealthy attitudes or emotions, this time period can be freeing and wonderful--so, as always, the choice is ours.

And even though Uranus goes retrograde just after midnight and into Monday morning, June 19th here in the USA on PDT time, Sunday, June 18th, is really going to be the corker... so whatever your Sunday plans... expect some changes and try to be graceful or flexible about the chaos that may ensue temporarily.

Transit Mars is conjunct Saturn at 8 Leo and square Jupiter when Uranus goes retrograde on June 19, 2006. It's not a happy combination. This can breed a LOT of over-the-top (think: drama queens/kings here) frustration so watch your temper and be aware of others who may not be able to handle their temper/anger as well as you do. Road rage is favored about two days in advance, so drive carefully from June 17-19th. And, volcanoes blow at this time, and earthquakes can make a country reel in its path in this same time frame. With Jupiter squaring this unhappy stew of Mars/Saturn/Uranus, you can bet it's going to be BIG/LARGE/out of control or far more than what we bargained for. That may translate into a horrendous 8.0 earthquake, as an example. And since Uranus is in Pisces, a water sign, it can mean a tsunami, as well. Just understand that there's going to be BIG movement for some people (see birth dates above) and they will be undergoing the heat in the crucible of life at this time. Be compassionate, willing to understand and possibly, to support them as they go through this time. Unfortunately, Father's Day is on June 18th, and may end up to be one of those family visits you wished you didn't have to attend--but do--because Uranus can pave the way to open up old wounds so that they can be healed between you and your father. Just be aware that this could occur, take it in stride and make something positive out of this day, instead. And, many families are dysfunctional and holidays usually bring out their worst because they all must be cooped up together for such times. Knowing this, if you are in this mix, then go with detachment and try to stay in your core or center. If you can do that, you won't get pulled into the family games because the games will be in play. Sometimes, the best you can do is detach as best you can, love your family the best you can but protect your own healthy core by keeping an arm's length from any unhealthy behavior that may surface this weekend before Uranus goes retrograde.

Transiting Mercury is going to be inconjunct Pluto at the time of Uranus going retrograde so please, think about what you want to say before you spontaneously blurt it out and by pass your logic or rationale. This is a terrible time to 'let fly' with how you feel. And this isn't a great aspect to bring up diplomacy or trying to soft coat your words or ideas--but you MUST try. Wounding happens on many levels and verbal arrows are just as lethal and hurtful as if you hit someone with your fist. There is no difference. Knowing that foot-in-mouth is with this irritating twosome, do something about it and stop, think, before you speak. You will be so glad you did. If someone says something nasty, angry or hurtful to you--do NOT respond in kind....it can escalate into violence with the Mars/Saturn aspect in Leo. People are prideful right now and they just don't know how to back out or down gracefully, so they get ridged and fixed and unable to do anything but stand their ground. It's a stupid tactic, to be sure, but many do this when they feel threatened by you. Again, knowing this going into a situation, give people room to maneuver and back down. You can handle a few 'slings and arrows' in this case. You'll live another day to see it fixed later on, down the road. But it won't be fixed now because arguments, stubbornness and thick-headedness are in the air with Mercury and Pluto disagreeing with one another.

Those MOST directly affected were born March 1st through March 8th , especially, March 4th. And by opposite sign, our Virgo folks, if you were born between September 3rd through September 10th, but especially September 7th, you will feel Uranus directly. And you have someone to blame for the unexpected, lightning-like chaos that is presently running your life for you: Uranus is slowly turning retrograde on June 19, 2006, at 12:40 a.m. PDT.

When a slow moving planet (they are considered, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) goes retrograde or direct, lives can turn from a well known, fixed rut to utter chaos. Usually, it is about two weeks before the actual 'turn' that things begin to happen. (From June 5 through June 18, 2006 can be a period of upheaval). With Uranus, it gets WILD! Think EARTHQUAKES on the literal level, as well as on a more symbolic one.

So what does this all mean? First, let's look at what Uranus rules or symbolizes. It is about lightning bolts. "Out of the blue." The unexpected. Coming out of left field. Surprises. Unexpected twists and turns. Jolts. Trauma. Accidents. Surgery. Airplane crashes. Electrical shocks. Bizarre/weird accidents (think of accidents sky diving, paragliders, bungee jumping, etc.). Sprains and strains. Stress. Nervous tension. I can't take it any more. Explosions. Explosiveness felt inside one's self (and no place to 'blow it off'). Trembling. Shaking. Jerking. Spasms. Epilepsy. Seizures. Revolution (look at Indonesia, presently--an uprising). Fanatics. Zealots. Shattering. Out with the old guard, in with the new. Sudden. Shock. Attack (asthma, a robbery, terrorists, etc.). Computers crashes. Electrical connection foul ups. Hard disk crashes.

Net upheaval or breakdown. Net viruses released. Machinery failure of all kinds (including computers, servers, or other computer hardware). Blowing the lid off something--an conscious awareness made about some person or thing--and it comes as a huge shock and/or surprise. Roller coaster. Upheaval. Unsteady. Broken routines. Fixed patterns destroyed or changed suddenly and without any pre-warning. If you have a hard aspect presently, it may not be the most pleasant of times for you.

My advice is: watch how you drive--pay strict attention to what you are doing--do NOT allow your focus to be torn away--if you allow it to happen, you are ripe for an accident. If you don't have to fly--don't do it (unless you have soft aspects--then it's okay). If you aren't sure about this, contact your astrologer.

Back up your computer from your hard drive--and don't say you weren't warned beforehand. Those dealing with servers--look out--take EVERY precaution to keep your machinery online and not take an unexpected "zap" from an unexpected power surge from your electric company that will FRY your equipment. I hope you have some kind of surge protector on your computer gear--if not, now is a great time to go out and buy it. You won't be sorry.

Depending upon what house or houses are involved in your natal chart, this is where the action is going to take place. Again, a professional astrologer can tell you much more about this focus of activity.

....In any event, some of you are going to be asked to weigh, assess and make a determination on a person, place, thing or event... so be ready to shoulder the responsibility of first, being honest with yourself (what are your needs in this? What is being proposed? Is it in your best, vested interests? Is it healthy for you to partake in? Is it positive so that there is a win-win situation for all involved or not? You have a lot of brutal questions to ask and answer. And then, Uranus is going to ask you to step up to the plate, be honest, be responsible, take what's coming to you (if you deserve it) or not. And if it isn't yours to get involved in, then get out and disconnect from the person, place, event or thing that is trying to keep you involved in the "dance."

Time to get a new partner for some folks. Uranus can be brutal. It is "in your face" and strips things to bare necessities and primal survival. So, what are you going to do? What is the 'right action' for you to employ (first for yourself, your health and your honesty)? Or not? As always, the choice is up to you, and Uranus is giving all of us a chance to come clean, own our own Shadow "stuff", so to speak, carry it, see it, and then (hopefully) change our unhealthy, sick or negative pattern of thinking or acting.

The jig is up. Let's roll with the chaos that is definitely moving into high gear come Monday, June 19th! Wheeeeeee.......
